Mrs. Lucille Walkowiak

June 3, 1897 - June 14, 1977

Mrs. Lucille Walkowiak, 80, of 1141 N. Brookfield, died at 1:45pm Tuesday in St Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. 

She was born on June 3, 1897, in South Bend and lived here all her life.  On August 14, 1944, as Lucille Rozewicz, she married Louis Walkowiak, who died on October 5, 1976.  Survivors are a daughter, Mrs Darlene Hoover of South Bend; a son, Louis S. of South Bend; three grandchildren, and a sister, Miss Regina Rozewicz of South Bend.

Services will be at 10am Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. William J. Neidhart, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 9pm Thursday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish wake will be at 7:30pm Thursday.  Mrs. Walkowiak was a member of Group 201, Polish Women's Alliance of America, the Altar & Rosary Society of Holy Cross Church, and Ladies of St Hedwig's Church Holy Rosary Society.

Services for Mrs. Lucille Walkowiak, 80, of 1141 N. Brookfield who died Tuesday, will be at 10am Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. 

Friends may call until 9pm today in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where the Rosary Society of Holy Cross Church and the parish will recite a rosary at 7:30pm today.
