Shirley Marie Walker, 42, of Lincoln Way East in Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in her residence. Shirley was born on Jan. 23, 1960, in Mishawaka, to Russell A. and Rita A. (Davis) Benford Jr. Her mother has preceded her in death.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories her son, Benjamin J. Walker of Mishawaka; her daughter, Amber Renee Walker of Mishawaka; her father, Russell A. Benford of Mishawaka; her brothers, Thomas (Pat) Benford, Robert "Paul" Benford and Joel Benford, all of Mishawaka; and sisters, Sharon Martin, Sheila (Thomas) Jors, both of Mishawaka, and Katie (Anthony) Everette of Grand Rapids, Mich.

Shirley was a graduate from Mishawaka High School, class of 1978. She was employed by Nylon Craft as a supervisor, and attended St. Monica Church in Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at noon today, Oct. 24, with visitation two hours prior to services in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind.
