Lucy Walker

November 28, 1904 – April 26, 1982

Mrs Lucy Walker, 77, of 309 S Laurel, died at 9:30am Monday in St Joseph’s Medical Center, after a brief illness.  She was a former employee of the McClave Printing Co.

She was born on November 28, 1904, in Buffalo NY and lived in the South Bend are most of her life.  On January 14, 1924, in South Bend, as Lucy Galazkiewicz, she married Chalmer Walker, who died on January 2, 1977.  Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Wikman of Osceola, Mrs. Norma Krol of Crumstown, Miss Genevieve Walker at home, and Mrs. Marguerite Ogren of South Bend; a son, John of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:30am Friday in St Stephen’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Thomas Lemos, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame.  Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Thursday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be recited at 6pm Thursday.  She was a member of the St Theresa Society at the church.
