MISHAWAKA- Sue C. Walters Wagner, 69, of Mishawaka died at
1 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008, in Wedgewood Pines Assisted
Living, South Bend, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Wagner was
born on October 21, 1938 in Mishawaka to the late Francis and
Helen (Fulmer) Walters and was a lifetime area
resident.
On June 16, 1979, in South Bend she married
J. Bruce Wagner who survives. Also surviving are two daughters,
Elizabeth (Daniel) Kruk of New Carlisle, IN and Ann
(Scott) Long of Mansfield, TX; one son, Christian (April) Gourley
of Martinsville, IN; two step-daughters, Deborah (Rick) Hudak
of Granger, IN and Wendy (Fred) Cotton of Carpentersville,
IL; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Laughlin of
East Grand Rapids, MI. Sue was employed by the Mishawaka-Penn
Public Library as a children's librarian. She was active with the
Osceola Community Players and a former member of the Junior
League of South Bend. The family wishes to express their
heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful, loving caregivers at
Wedgewood Pines Assisted Living.
Funeral services will be held at noon
Tuesday, January 15 in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North,
17033 Cleveland Rd., with Rev. Robert Curtis, former pastor of
First Baptist Church, South Bend, officiating. Burial will follow
at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call in
the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of
service at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may
be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111
