Eleanor M. (Keller) Wack, 101, of
East St. Vincent Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6:30 a.m. on
Monday, May 10, in her home. Mrs. Wack was born on Oct. 13, 1897,
in Cincinnati, Ohio, and had lived in South Bend, since 1914.
On Aug. 19, 1924, in South Bend, she married
George J. Wack who died Dec. 18, 1985. She is survived by three
daughters, Joanne Gans of Syracuse, Ind., Marianne Doran
and Margie Farmer, both of South Bend; three sons, Dr.
James E. Wack of South Bend, and Thomas G. and John T. Wack, both
of Wheeling, W. Va.; 36 grandchildren; and by 70
great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wack was a charter member of the Ladies
of Notre Dame, Christ Child Society, Altar-Rosary Society of St.
Joseph Church, Harvest House, and the Notre Dame Club of St.
Joseph Valley.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10
a.m. on Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend.
Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from
3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131
Cleveland Road, where a Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Memorials
may be made to St. Joseph Church, Christ Child Society, or to the
Women's Care Center.
