Anne M. Vuckis (Sept. 23, 1914 - Jan. 18, 2001)

Anne M. Vuckis, 86, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, in the Holy Cross Care and Rehabtilitation Center.

Mrs. Vuckis was born on Sept. 23, 1914, in South Bend to the late John and Julia Kolat.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Gaul and Katherine Kolat; and by a brother, John Kolat.  On Nov. 24, 1938, in the Church of the Holy Trinity, as Anne M. Kolat, she married Steve J. Vuckis, who also preceded her in death on May 1973.

She retired from Indiana Carton after 30 years of service.  Mrs. Vuckis was a lifelong member of the Church of the Holy Trinity.

She is survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Rinehart, and her husband, Gregory M. Rinehart of Osceola, Ind.; a son, Stephen J. Vuckis of South Bend; a grandaughter, Lynn Anne Carson; and by two greatgrandchildren, Kara M. and Joshua M. Carson.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, in the Church of the Holy Trinity, with Rev. Tina Velthuizen officiating.  Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.
