Y. Elaine Von Baden, 62, of Marine Street,
South Bend, Ind., died at 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, in St.
Joseph's Medical Center.
She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on
November 6, 1935, and had lived in this area most of her life.
She was employed as a hairdresser at Fashion
Flair Beauty Salon in South Bend. Elaine was a member of St.
Matthew's Cathedral and sang in the church choir.
Elaine is survived by her mother, Florence
Smith of South Bend; two sisters, Marilyn (Joe) Behner of
Mishawaka, Ind. and Glenice Patterson of South Bend; five nieces,
Cathy (Mike) Owen of Granger, Ind., Cheryl Leniski of Osceola,
Ind., Nancy (Mike) Doncilovic of Elkhart, Ind., and Colleen and
Laurie Patterson, both of South Bend; one nephew, James
Patterson, II, of South Bend; three great nieces, Tracy and
Michelle Leniski, both of Osceola, and Katie Doncilovic of
Elkhart; two great nephews, Ryan Leniski of South Bend and Kevin
Leniski of Osceola; and by many loving aunts and uncles.
There will be no visitation, and cremation
will take place.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on
Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street,
Mishawaka, with Fr. Dermot Gahan officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
American Heart Association.
