MISHAWAKA - Chester Vires, 70, of Mishawaka, IN passed away at
10:59 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in St. Joseph Regional
Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born on April 24, 1939 in
Christopher, KY to William T. and Virginia (Cripe) Vires. On
December 2, 1964 in Seoul, Korea, he married EunCha (Lee) Vires,
who survives. Mr. Vires is also survived by daughter, Sandra V.
(Dennis) Ault of Osceola, IN; son Thomas (Jamie) Vires of
Osceola, IN; seven grandchildren, Allison and Colin Ault, Kaylee,
Dustin, Joshua and Brendon Vires, and Keith Applewhite; three
sisters, Marie (Ron) Heafey of Muskegon, MI, Cathy Vires of
Winamac, IN and Frances Vires of Mishawaka, IN; four brothers,
Carl (Kathy) Vires of Omaha, NE, James Vires of Mishawaka, IN,
Charles Vires of Winamac, IN and Kenneth Vires of Logansport, IN.
Two brothers, Ronald Vires and Eugene Vires preceded him in
death. Mr. Vires served his country honorably in the United
States Army. He retired in 2001 after forty years as a union
carpenter working for Local 413. Many of those years he spent
working for Casteel Construction. There will be no services or
visitation. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn
Cremations Services, South Bend are handling the arrangements.
