SOUTH BEND - Shirley E. Vinson, 50, of Ebeling Drive, died about 5:55 p.m. Tuesday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Vinson was employed by AP Parts Manufacturing Co., Granger. She was born Aug. 18, 1945, in Mishawaka.

On Nov. 18, 1977, as Shirley E. Thompson, she married Ricky C. Vinson. He survives with a son, Ronald G. Lard of South Bend; a granddaughter; her mother, Reba Thompson of Savannah; four sisters, Linda Scott of Anderson, S.C., Patsy Stricklin of Savannah, Tenn., Martha Moore of San Diego, and Beverly Robinson of Florence, Ala.; and a brother, Jeffrey Thompson of South Bend.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Osceola United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
