Brenda S. Vinson, 49, of South Scott Street, South Bend, Indiana, died at 9:34 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2003, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born June 6th, 1953, in Mishawaka, to Donald and Lorraine Whitaker.

On July 10, 1971, she married Johnny Vinson in St. Joseph County. He survives with two sons, Johnny Vinson Jr. and Jason Allen Vinson, and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Kay Vinson, all of South Bend. Her two grandchildren, Hannah Marie Vinson and Brianna Nichole Vinson, survive with her brother and sister, Donald E. Whitaker Jr. and Mary Jo Senour, both of South Bend. She is also survived by her mother, Lorraine Sedam of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Whitaker Sr.

uneral services for Mrs. Vinson will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday. Officiating the services Friday will be Rev. Richard Patterson. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
