MISHAWAKA - Michael F. Vervaet, 80, of 811 E. Eighth Street, died Wendesday afternoon in St. Joseph Hospital, following an extended illness. He was born in East Flanders, Belgium on May 27, 1895. He retired from Studebaker Corporation in 1960. On March 12, 1932 he married Erma Landuit, who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Brockaert and Mrs. Avilla Roggeman, both of East Flanders; and four brothers, David Vervaet of South Bend and Maurice, Prudent and Germain Vervaet, all of East Flanders.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church with internment in Riverview Cemetery in South Bend.
