MISHAWAKA – Miss Martha Ellis Vervaet, 28, of 301 W. Fifth Street, died this morning in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness due to pneumonia. She was born in Belgium Oct. 27, 1898 and came here two years ago, She was employed in the wood department of the Mishawaka Rubber and Woolen Company. She is survived by her parents and four brothers and two sisters, all living in Belgium; and by three brothers and one sister, Abele, Michael, David and Pauline, all living in Mishawaka.

The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church of which she was a member, Rev. Otto Keller officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The neighbors will meet Wendesday at 7:30 p.m. in Hummer’s Funeral Home to say the rosary.
