SOUTH BEND – Margaret Vervaet, 76, formerly of 1935 Beverly Place, died early this morning in Medco Nursing Center after an illness. She was retired from Bendix Corporation. She was born May 16, 1911 in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident. On April 7, 1934 in South Bend, as Margaret Landuit, she married David Vervaet. He died April 7, 1985. She is survived by four sisters, Erma Vervaet of Mishawaka, Florence Maenhout of Granger, and Alma Geissel and Louise Martsolf, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Catholic Church followed by burial in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
