SOUTH BEND – David Vervaet, 82, of 1935 Beverly Place, died Tuesday evening in Ridgedale Nursing Home after an illness. He was born April 7, 1903 in Belgium and came to South Bend in 1920. He retired from Studebaker Corporation. On May 7, 1934 in South Bend, he married the former Margaret Landuit. She survives with two sisters and two brothers in Belgium.

Services will be at noon Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church and burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home in Mishawaka, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
