MISHAWAKA - Aime
M. Vervaet, 59, of 512 W. 12th Street, died Monday
afternoon in St. Joseph Hospital following an illness of four
months. He was born on April 8, 1912 in Belgium, and came to
Mishawaka from that country in 1912. On Sept. 9, 1945, in
Belgium, he married Odile P. DeWinne, who survives. Also
surviving are two sons, Florent Vervaet of Mishawaka, and Leonard
Vervaet at home; three brothers, Marcel and Preden Vervaet of
Mishawaka, and David Vervaet of South Bend; and a grandchild. He
was employed by Vincent Bach and Company in Elkhart.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. in the Thallemer-Goethals
Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Bavo’s
Catholic Church and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial
Park.
