John J. Verosky

SOUTH BEND - John J. Verosky, 70, of Alan Road, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Verosky retired from Bendix Corp.

He was born March 26, 1925, in Sykesville, Pa., and lived in this area for the past 50 years. On May 28, 1949, in South Bend, he married Eleanor Filipski. She survives with two daughters, Linda Jesswein and Patricia Hiatt, both of South Bend; a son, Dennis of Granger; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Kozloski of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and Josephine Phillips of Sykesville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Ushers Club of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a combined rosary by the parish and Ushers Club will be said at 7:30 p.m.
