Florine Vercruysse, 84, of South Ironwood, South Bend, Ind., formerly of West 7th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Florine was born on January 17, 1916, in Mishawaka to the late Harry and Edna (Thompson) Hart. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Hart.

On Feb. 14, 1934, Florine married William Vercruysse, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Sharon G. Torma of South Bend; grandchildren, Todd and Penny Torma of North Liberty and Tracy Vanwynsberghe of Indianapolis; and by a great-grandson, Tory Torma of North Liberty. Florine had been employed at the former Ball Band in Mishawaka. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie 2083 in Mishawaka.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, in the funeral home, with Fr. Robert A. Yast officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
