Alice B. Venis, 77, of Mishawaka Road
in Elkhart, Ind., passed away Saturday, July 13, of natural
causes. Mrs. Venis was born March 16, 1925, to Albert Henry and
Frances (Hurst) Katterheinrich in Mishawaka, Ind.
On March 10, 1945, the former Ms.
Katterheinrich married Raymond J. Venis in Long Island, N.Y. He
survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Carol Bair
and her husband, Sam of Granger, Ind., and Terry Walker
and her husband, Rick of Kanapolis, N.C.; a son, Danny R. Venis
and his wife, Kati of Granger; a sister, Margaret Burris
and her husband, Clyde of Osceola, Ind.; and by seven
grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Venis was a graduate of Mishawaka High
School. She was employed for 17 years with the CTS Corporation,
Elkhart, before retirement in 1983. Mrs. Venis was also a member
of the Cedar Road Missionary Church, Osceola.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to
8 p.m. Monday, July 15, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, in the Chapel
Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in her name may be made to
the Alzheimer's Association.
