Loretta Velleman, 92, formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, in Powell, Tenn.

Loretta was born on Oct. 30, 1909, in Mishawaka, to the late Harry and Lottie Ernsberger. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean Velleman, and by her husband, Charles.

Loretta had moved to Powell in 1994 from Mishawaka to be with her daughter, Phyllis Eckstein, granddaughter, Cheryl (David) Yurek, and three grandsons, Keith, Kevin and Greg Eckstein, who all survive her.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Mishawaka, with Fr., Derrick Sneyd, pastor of St. Monica Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, IN 46545. The Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, is handling local arrangements for Mrs. Velleman.
