SOUTH BEND - Mary Ann Varro, 83, of South Bend, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008, in Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1924, in Columbia City, IN. Mary was the daughter of Gerald and Mildred (Leiter) Hauk.

On March 17, 1972, she married Joseph A. Varro Jr., who preceded her in death on October 31, 1992. Mary is survived by her loving family: her four sons, Charles Hullinger of South Bend, Jeffrey Hullinger of Buchanan, MI, Terry Pinegar and Robert Pinegar, both of South Bend; her future daughter-in-law, Lorrie Colcord of Buchanan, MI; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, June 25th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend. Friends may visit with her family from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Mary was a devoted member and contributor to the National Humane Society, Easter Seals Disability Services, and the Boys and Girls Club.
