Varga

SOUTH BEND - Mary Varga, 84, of South Bend, IN., passed away at
Our Lady of Peace Triumph Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. Mary was
born on January 27, 1926 in Mishawaka to Steven and Lidi
(Blaskovics) Gall. On June 29, 1957 in Mishawaka as Mary Gall she
married Joseph Varga. Joseph preceded Mary in death on June 23,
2003. Two brothers, Steven Gall Jr., and Joseph Gall, also
preceded Mary in death. Mary is survived by one daughter,
Rosemary Ferrara of Granger, IN., two sons, Joseph (Paula) Varga
of Mishawaka and Steven (Cathryn) Varga of Coralville, Iowa, five
grandchildren, Richard Ferrara, Jennifer Ferrara and Sarah
Ferrara all of Granger, IN., Aimee Varga and Erinn Varga both of
Coralville, Iowa. Mary graduated from Mishawaka High School in
1944 and was a member of the Mishawaka Alumni Association and she
was also a member of Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the
Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at Little
Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend,
where there will also be one hour of visitation at the church
before the services. Father Neil Ryan C.S.C. will officiate with
burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Memorial
contributions can be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph
County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or to The Center for
Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South
Bend, IN 46637.
