Eugene A. Van Wanzeele

December 17, 1940 – September 21, 2005

Eugene A. Van Wanzeele, 64, of Timothy Road, New Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, in Miller’s Merry Manor, New Carlisle.

He was born on December 17, 1940, in South Bend to Eugene and Magdelene (DeNeve) Van Wanzeele, who have both preceded him in death.

Survivors include his brother, August (Nancy) Van Wanzeele of New Carlisle; a niece, Mary Ellen (Brett) Smith; two nephews, Michael (Penny) Van Wanzeele and Paul Van Wanzeele; grandnieces and nephews, Jason and Christopher Beyer, Katie Smith, David, Scott and Amanda Van Wanzeele and Bruce Van Wanzeele.

Eugene was a member of the Rural Youth and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, September 25 from 3 to 8pm in St Joseph Funeral Home, 824 South Mayflower Road, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 3pm Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 25 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10am.  Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.

The family has requested that those wishing to make memorial contributions, should do so to the Lydick Lions Club.
