OSCEOLA - Dennis M. "Mike" VanSkyHock, 58, of 10659 Fairview Ave., died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday in Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on June 16, 1950, in Elkhart, to James and Helen (Bachtel) VanSkyHock. He was preceded in death by his father, James VanSkyHock, and a sister, Sharon Poff. He was formerly employed at Mario's Meat Market and Colonial Arms Apartments in Elkhart. He graduated in 1969 from Penn High School. Dennis enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid Notre Dame fan. Survivors include his mother, Helen VanSkyHock of Osceola; a sister, Robin (Harvey) Fergison of Elkhart; a brother, James (Linda) VanSkyHock of Milwaukee; a nephew, Scott Fergison of Osceola; nieces, Dawn Fergison and Sherry Fergison, both of Elkhart; special friends, Albert and Hanna; special aunt and uncle, Bud and Shirley Parker of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23rd, in Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home, 1109 Lincoln Way West, Osceola, with Pastor Jamie Hart of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Elkhart. Burial will be at Olive (West) Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
