MISHAWAKA - Toni R. Van Patten, 66, of Mishawaka, died at 1:00 pm
Tuesday, May 11 at her home. She was born October 6, 1943 in
Elkhart to Robert J. and Tura Jane (Webb) Van Patten. Surviving
is her mother, Tura Jane Van Patten of Mishawaka; one sister,
Victoria B. Van Patten of Mishawaka; two cousins, Bill (Marilyn)
Van Patten, Jr., of Elkhart, Nancy (Steve) Blough of
Shipshewanna, her companion Debra Anderson of Mishawaka and her
dog Max. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. Van
Patten. Toni graduated from Elkhart High School in 1961. In 1966
she graduated from Purdue University School of Pharmacy. Toni was
formerly employed at the former Newman's Pharmacy, Alick's Drug
Stores and the Pharmacy at Elkhart General Hospital. She also
worked in the Pharmacy at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in
South Bend for 26 years. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha
Sorority and was an avid collector of Peanuts and Snoopy
memorabilia. She loved animals, especially her dog Max. A
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May
17, in the Chapel at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in
Mishawaka. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Monday.
Pastor Tom Thews will officiate the service.
Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral home is assisting the family with
arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Sister Maura
