SOUTH BEND - Mary C. Van Paemel, 80, of South Nash Street, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Van Paemel retired from White Farm Equipment Co. after 30 years of service. She was born April 23, 1915, in South Bend.

On May 30, 1940, in South Bend, as Mary C. Vargo, she married Bernard J. Van Paemel. He survives with several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Ann Society and Harvest House, both of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Zahoran Funeral Home, where a combined rosary will be said at 3 p.m. by St. Ann Society and Harvest House. Memorial contributions may be made to the church repair fund.
