Clara H. Van Paemel, 91, of West Fourth St., Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12, in the Countryside Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka. Mrs. Van Paemel was born on May 7, 1908, in South Bend, Ind., as the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Augusta (Zuppe) Vedder. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.

On July 2, 1934, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as the former Clara Vedder, she married Camiel Van Paemel. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1999. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Van Paemel was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, South Bend.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Rev. W. Robert Manning officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne St., South Bend, IN 46617.
