Camiel J. Van Paemel, 93, of West Fourth Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 10. Mr. Van Paemel was born on Oct. 5, 1905, in St. Joristen Destl, Belgium, as the son of the late Edmund and Sylvia (Smessaert) Van Paemel.
On July 2, 1934, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married the former Clara Vedder. Mr. Van Paemel is survived by his wife, Clara of 64 years, along with three brothers, Andrew Van Paemel and George Van Paemel, both of Mishawaka, and Bernard Van Paemel of South Bend. Mr. Van Paemel was a member of the Mishawaka Eagles Club Arie #2083, the B-K Club, the De Amicis Club and the Wednesday Afternoon Belgium Bowlers. He was also a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with the Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Bavo's Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
