3, 1961 - March 1, 2010SOUTH BEND - Randall L. VanLew Jr., 48, passed away at 8:26 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, in the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. He was born on July 3, 1961, in El Paso, Texas, to Randall Lee and Margaret VanLew Sr. Randall was employed as a truck driver and was a US Army veteran. He enjoyed playing bingo at the FOP. Randall was preceded in death by his father, Randall L. VanLew Sr.; and stepmother, Betty VanLew. He leaves behind a son, Patrick L. VanLew of Michigan City, IN; mother, Margaret Greene of El Paso, TX; sister, Tina VanLew of South Bend, IN; brother, Martin L. VanLew of Geyersburg, TN; half sister, Katherine VanLew of Michigan City, IN; companion, Janet Watkins of Plymouth, IN; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Cremation will take place with burial at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Three Oaks, Michigan. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
