Mary (Knezevich) Van Heesbeke

November 9, 1907 - June 14, 1968

Services for Mrs. Mary (Knezevich) Van Heesbeke, 60, of 27910 US 20, New Carlisle, formerly of South Bend, who died at 4:12am Friday in Osteopathic Hospital after an illness of one week, will be held at 1pm Monday at S.S. Peter & Paul Serbian Church, with Rev. George Vuckovich officiating.

She was born November 9, 1907, in Iron Mountain MI, and moved to South Bend 25 years ago.  She had lived in New Carlisle for the past ten years.  She was married on July 18, 1949, in South Bend, to Cyril Van Heesbeke, who survives.  She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Anita Frucci, of Niles; a son, Michael Knezevich of South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Mildren Adams, Niles; Mrs. Helen Matthews, Chicago, and Mrs. Anita Schindler, South Bend; six grandchildren; seven brothers, Dominic, Bruno, Anthony, Victor and John all of Niles; Frank of Lansing and Lawrence of Albany GA and two sisters Mrs. Tillie Olinger, Nies and Mrs. Veronica Marrindino, Chicago.

She was a member of the Circle of Serbian Sisters of S.S. Peter & Paul Serbian Church.  Friends may call after 7pm today at the Zahoran Funeral Home, where prayer services will be held at 8pm today and Sunday.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
