NEW CARLISLE – Cyril Van Heesbeke, 88, of 27910 U.S. 20, died at 4:48pm Sunday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, South Bend.  Mr. Van Heesbeke was a retired farmer.

He was born May 30, 1906, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  On May 8, 1971, in South Bend, he married Ruth Boatman.  She survives with two sisters, Genevieve Van Goeye of South Bend and Madeline Butler of Bluffton IN; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services or visitation.  Cremation will take place.  St. Joseph Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements.
