Arthur Van Hecke

November 1, 1884 - October 31, 1954

Arthur Van Hecke, Sister Lakes, Dowagiac MI, died in Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac at 9:45pm Sunday after three weeks illness.  He was born in Zomergen, Belgium November 1, 1884, and came here twenty-five years ago form Marine City MI.  He went to Sister Lakes ten years ago.  He married Bertha Buysse in Port Huron MI, in 1934.  She survives.

He also leaves three brothers, Ramey, of Marine City; and Adolf and Alfons in Belgium, and a sister, Mrs. Henri Hampe, Marine City.

Friends may call in the DeVos Funeral Home in Mishawaka until the funeral at 9am Thursday in Sacred Heart Belgian Church, South Bend.  Very Rev. George Moorman will officiate.  The rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:30pm Wednesday.

FUNERAL NOTES

Pallbearers for the funeral of Arthur Van Hecke, Sister Lakes, Dowagiac MI at 9am Thursday in Sacred Heart Belgian Church, South Bend, will be Gerard Pauwels, Edmund Van Tornhout, Arthur Van Heesbeke, Raymond Ranschaert, Walter Davidson, Jr. and Edward Lekens.  Very Rev George Moorman will officiate and interment will be in the Fairview Mausoleum, Mishawaka.
