March 24, 1903 – August 3, 1995

SOUTH BEND – Genevieve Van Goeye, 92, of St Joseph’s Care Center West, formerly of Mayflower Road, died at 11pm Thursday in the nursing home.

Mrs. Van Goeye was born March 24, 1903, in South Bend.  On May 27, 1922, in South Bend, as Genevieve Van Heesbeke, she married Victor Van Goeye.  He died June 7, 1969.  She is survived by a daughter, Florence M. Freitag of South Bend; a son, Ron V. of Florence MT; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a sister, Madeline Butler of Bluffton IN.  She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.

Services will be at 9:30am Monday in the church.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Sunday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where a parish rosary will be said at 3pm.
