SOUTH BEND - M. Eileen VanDoren, 90, of South Bend, IN passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She worked as a secretary for several companies in South Bend. Miss VanDoren was born on January 15, 1918 in South Bend, IN to Earl and Hazel (Wendel) VanDoren. She lived here most of her life, except for six years that she resided in Denver, Colorado. Miss Van Doren is survived by her sister, Genevieve Van Doren of South Bend; two nieces, Sharron Cotogno of Fritz Creek, Alaska and Kathleen Halcrow of Greenville, SC; and two nephews, Dennis Trainor of Burke, Virginia and Michael Trainor of Mt. Sinai, NY. One sister, Virginia Trainor in 2008 and one brother, Lyle Van Doren in 1964 preceded her in death.

There will be no services or visitation. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
