William R. Vanderbosch, 75, of 749 A.
Nantucket Circle, Lakeworth, Fla., died suddenly while playing
golf at 1:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, in Lakeworth. Mr.
Vanderbosch was a former resident of Adamsville, Mich. Born in
LaPorte, Ind., on Feb. 20, 1924, he was the son of William H. and
Genevieve (Lane) Vanderbosch. Mr. Vanderbosch had lived in
Lakeworth since 1975, coming from Adamsville, and retired from
Oriole Homes of Delray Beach, Fla. He was a member of Our Lady of
the Lake Catholic Church and American Legion Post 365, both in
Edwardsburg, Mich., and Bricklayers Union Local #18 in South
Bend, Ind. Mr. Vanderbosch was a veteran of World War II, serving
in the U.S. Army. On Sept. 21, 1946, he first married Madelon Martin,
who died in 1971. Later on July 3, 1972, in Edwardsburg, he
married Lyla (Clark) Frame, who survives. Other surviving
family includes his children, John Vanderbosch of Boynton Beach,
Fla., Charles Vanderbosch of Cassopolis, Mich., Victor
Vanderbosch of Elkhart, Ind., Francis Vanderbosch of Door, Mich.,
Mary Vanderbosch of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jane Lutz of Richland
Hills, Texas; eight grandchildren; a stepson, Ronald Frame of
Lakeworth; and his sisters, Suzi Agostino of San Marcos,
Calif., Mary Brown of Hinsdale, Ill., Joan Shaffer of
South Bend and Betty Powell of Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on
Monday, Aug. 9, in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with the
Reverend Canon Marian M. Kencik of Saint Mary Catholic Church in
Niles officiating. A veteran's flag presentation will follow the
committal at the graveside in Calvary Cemetery, Niles, with
American Legion Post 365 officiating. The family will receive
friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8, in the
Halbritter Funeral Home. Contributions in memory of Mr.
Vanderbosch may be made to the American Heart Association.
