SOUTH BEND William H. Vanderbosch,
80, of 1616 Dale Street, died at 6:05 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph
Hospital, after an illness on one week. In 1960 he retired from
the US Department of Agriculture after 25 years of service. Born
Nov. 21, 1889 in Avilla, Ind., he came to South Bend in 1910.
On Oct. 24, 1916 he married Mary Genevieve Lane,
who survives. Also surviving are a son, William R. of
Edwardsburg, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. A. L. Decker and
Mrs. Frances Shafer, both of South Bend, Mrs. A. J. Brown
of Hinsdale, Ill., and Mrs. Thomas Dinan of LaJolla,
Calif.; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; five
brothers, John, Amandus, Herman anf Adolph all of South Bend, and
Edward of LaPorte, and a sister, Mrs. William Thallemer of
Mishawaka.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday
at the Bilancio-Gusinger Colonial Chapel. Mr. Vanderbosch was a
member of the Holy Name Society of St. Matthews Cathedral,
the Senio Citizens Club, and the National Assoc. of Retired Civil
Employees.

Services for William H. Vanderbosch, 80, who
died Sunday, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St.
Matthews Catholic Cathedral, by Rev. Msgr. Joseph R.
Crowley, rector. Burial will be St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today in the
Bilancio-Gusinger Colonial Chapel, where a rosary will be recited
at 8 p.m. today.
