Elizabeth A. (Haney) Van Den Borre, 76, of Hollywood Place, South Bend, died Tuesday morning in her home. Elizabeth worked for the University of Notre Dame Security department for 16 years.
She was born Nov. 7, 1924, in South Bend, to Thomas and Minnie (Neupert) Haney who preceded her in death along with a daughter, Cathy Van Den Borre. She is survived by a brother, Thomas Haney of South Bend; five nephews and a niece.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church, South Bend. Interment will follow at Adamsville Cemetery, Edwardsburg, Michigan. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, July 6, in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, 219-289-1000 where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Elizabeth was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where memorials may be made.
Editor: As Elizabeth Haney she married George Van Den Borre 9-6-1947 in St. Joseph County IN. He died in July 1972.
