MISHAWAKA - Jeanette Marie Vance, 44
years old, residing on Lincoln Way East in Mishawaka, passed away
at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2001, at the West Street
railroad crossing in Mishawaka as the result of an
automobile/train accident. Jeanette was born on August 27, 1957,
in Mishawaka, and has been a lifelong resident. She was a laundry
attendant at Burton's Laundry, Mishawaka.
She is survived by her mother, Joan (Gibbens)
VanDurmen of Mishawaka; her stepfather, Edward VanDurmen
of Mishawaka; a son, Justin Edward Vance of Mishawaka; a
stepdaughter, Crystal Vance of South Bend; three grandchildren; a
sister, Eugenia "Sue" Dean of Mishawaka; and
three brothers, John Webber & Michael Webber, both of
Mishawaka, and Patrick VanDurmen of Osceola; two nieces and one
great-nephew; and a special friend, Bob Presnell of South
Bend. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald L. Webber.
Services for Jeanette Marie Vance will be at
10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528
Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin, pastor of Northway
Church of Christ, will officiate. The family will receive friends
from 4-8 p.m. Monday in the Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend.
Memorial contributions in memory of Jeanette Marie Vance may be
offered to the American Red Cross, 3220 E. Jefferson Blvd., South
Bend, IN 46615.
