Cindy A. Van Avermaete

November 8, 1915 – May 9, 1997

MISHAWAKA – Cindy A. Van Avermaete, 81, of Catalpa Avenue, Mishawaka IN, passed away after an illness at 10:35pm on Friday, May 9, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend IN.

Mrs. Van Avermaete was born on November 8, 1915, in Mishawaka.  On December 30, 1933, in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, Mishawaka, she married Alois Van Avermaete, who preceded her in death on May 25, 1992.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Van Avermaete; and by a sister, Camilla DeCraene.

Mrs. Van Avermaete is survived by a son, David Van Avermaete of Danville CA; five grandchildren, Laurie Singleton, Jeff Van Avermaete, Rhonda Starks, Asentha A. Van Avermaete and Benjamin Van Avermaete; two great grandsons, David Singleton and Cody Starks; and by a sister, Jenny Wosniak of Mishawaka.

Memorial services will be at 10am on Monday in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating.
