Dec. 28, 1948 Nov. 22, 2002 Kenneth Michael Urgonski, 53,
of State Road 23, North Liberty, Ind., died following a lengthy
illness at 7:08 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in his residence. Mr.
Urgonski was born Dec. 28, 1948, in South Bend, Ind., to Dorothy
and the late Robert Urgonski, and was a lifetime northern Indiana
resident. On April 22, 1972, in South Bend, he married Lyn A.
Eazsol, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Jennifer
Urgonski, attending St. Marys College in South Bend; a son,
Bryan Urgonski of North Liberty; his mother, Dorothy (Kiryan)
Urgonski of South Bend; a sister, Kathy (Tom) Bajdek of South
Bend; a by his mother-in-law and dear friend, Mary Eazsol of
South Bend. Kenny joins a son who died at birth, Nov. 21, 1977;
his father, Robert Urgonski, who died in 2002; and by his
father-in-law and dear friend. Frank Eazsol, who died in 1980.
His most treasured gifts were his two children. Their lives and
accomplishments became his greatest pride. His lifes labor
for his family was in the automotive repair industry. He found
lifes joys and passions in his family, fishing, hunting,
training Labrador Retrievers, automotive restoration, and quick
wit for his family and friends. Ken earned his United States
Merchant Marine officer license from the United States Coast
Guard in 1989. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
by Rev. Robert Yast, who 30 years ago, at St. Johns united
Ken and Lyn in marriage. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m.
today, Nov. 24, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William
Street, where a parish Rosary will be recited by Father Yast at
5:30 p.m. The family would like to thank Drs. ODea and Zon,
their staffs, and Hospice of St. Joseph County for their
professionalism and compassionate care extended to Ken and his
family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
St. Patrick School Scholarship Fund, 810 Tyler Street, Walkerton,
IN 46574.
