Mishawaka - Walter Edward Ungrey, 88, of 839 E. 4th St. died about 9:50 p.m. Friday in his home. He had been in failing health for the last several months. Mr. Ulrey was born Jan. 3, 1883 in Mishawaka, and spent his entire lifetime in this area. On Dec. 27, 1921, he married Hilda Reeb in Mishawaka. She survives.
Mr. Ungrey retired from the Dodge Manufacturing Corp., division of Reliance Electric Co. after 36 years of employment there.
Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Zerba, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Clara Kemp, Chicago.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Bubb Funeral Home, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday. Officiating will be Rev. John Meengs, PH.D, retired pastor of the First Presbyterial Church and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
