Lorraine Maxine Ullery, 79, of South Bend, Ind., died at 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1. She was born on Dec. 20, 1919 in Hammond, Ind. to Eva (Burrows) and A.W. Dailey, Sr. both of who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur W. Dailey, Jr.
Surviving Mrs. Ullery are two daughters, Mary Jane and her husband, Fred Fekrat of Granger, Susan Millar of South Bend; three grandchildren, William Fekrat of Chicago, Ill., Jennifer Schuck and Frank Millar, both of South Bend; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ullery was a retired school teacher teaching at Cline, Harrison and Nuner Schools. She was a graduate of Central High School, South Bend and St. Mary's College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, South Bend, the Service Guild of South Bend, the Junior League of South Bend and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
Services for Mrs. Ullery will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4 in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Highland Mausoleum. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County, c/o United Health Services, 711 East Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617 or to First United Methodist Church, 333 North Main Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
