Lorraine G. Tyl, 73, of Harvest Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9:34 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5, in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tyl was born to Frank and Hattie (Janowiak) Hecklinski on Jan. 3, 1926, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident.

On Oct. 5, 1946, as Lorraine G. Hecklinski, she married Florian Tyl, who survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Theresa (Robert) Bartak of Omaha, Neb., Denise Grams of South Bend and Patricia (William) Zielinski of Fort Wayne, Ind.; five sons, Norbert and Martin Tyl of South Bend, John Tyl of Elkhart, Philip (Diane) Tyl of Columbus, Ohio, Mark (Jill) Tyl of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and by eight grandchildren, Jennifer Bartak, Angela Bartak, Robert Bartak, Jr., Elizabeth Bartak, Shawn Grams, Delaney Tyl, Lyndsey Tyl and Atticus Tyl. Mrs. Tyl was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the M.R. Falconettes Nest #200.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Rev. Camillo Tirabassi officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice
