MISHAWAKA - Michael G. Tylavsky, 57, of Mishawaka, passed
away Tuesday evening, July 8, 2008, in his home. Mike was born
November 24, 1950, in South Bend, a son of the late George and
Virginia (Kubiak) Tylavsky. He grew up in South Bend and
graduated from Adams High School in 1969.
On October 13, 1973, Mike married Beverly Luccki
and the couple lived in South Bend until settling in Mishawaka in
1977. Mike was employed for 32 years at United Pet Foods and at
one time for Eagle Pet Foods. He was an avid hunter and
fisherman. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and
friends, especially his grandchildren. Mike's surviving family
includes his wife of 34 years, Beverly; a daughter, Nicole
(Randy) Banks of Mishawaka; two granddaughters, Delanie
and Machaela Banks; three brothers, Bernie (Karen) Rouhselang,
Larry (Shirley) Rouhselang and George Tylavsky; three sisters,
Georgine (Ron) Martin, Suzanne (Bill) Thistlethwaite
and Diane (Todd) Halsey; a sister-in-law, Kathy Tylavsky;
and an aunt, Virginia Kubiak. Besides his parents, Mike was
preceded in death by a son, Nathan, a brother, James, and by a
sister-in-law, Judy Rouhselang.
Friends may spend time with Mike's family
Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 to
11 a.m. in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 West
Third Street, Mishawaka. Services will be held Saturday at 11
a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Terry Fisher
officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial
Park, Granger. Memorials may be made to the Leukodystrophy
Foundation, 2304 Highland Drive, Sycamore, IL 60178; or to the
charity of one's choice.
