Ruth A. Tuttle, 60, of Strawberry Hill Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 7:25 a.m. on Monday, March 2, in her residence. She was born on Oct. 28, 1937, in South Bend, living here all of her life.
In 1953, in South Bend, she married Ronald E. Tuttle, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1996.
She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Tuttle of Mishawaka, Ind., Rebecca (Jeffery) Bishop and Jennifer Tuttle, both of South Bend; and by her son, Thomas Tuttle of South Bend. She is also survived by four brothers, Thomas L. Hogan of San Antonio, Texas, James W. Hogan of Phoenix, Ariz., Robert C. Hogan of Gainesville, Fla., and Gerald R. Hogan of Granger, Ind.; 14 grandchildren, Shawn St. John, Shannon St. John, Shaolin St. John, Christine Carstens, Corey Carstens, Nicholas Carstens, Heather Bella, Andrew Bella, Ashley Bella, Brittany Bella, Jason Tuttle Dobrzykowski, Karlie Tuttle, Sheralyn Tuttle and Brandy Tuttle; and by two great-grandchildren, Brock Neer and Alexis Michalski. Ruth retired as the owner of The Whatever Shoppe, Antiques and Collectibles.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West Edison Road in South Bend. Rev. J. Mark Muncy, pastor of the Ireland Road Church of God, will officiate.
The Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
