Rita M. Tuttle, 80, of 27659 Osborne Road, North Liberty, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, of an extended illness.

She was born March 16, 1916, in Waukegan, Ill. She had lived here for 25 years.

She was married Nov. 9, 1936, in Waukegon, to John G. Bickel. He passed away in 1982.

She then married Howard L. Tuttle on May 27, 1987, in Walkerton, Ind. He survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Barbara Emery of South Bend and one grandson, Raymond Pierce, also of South Bend.

A sister, Geraldine Needham, preceded her in death in 1995, along with a brother, George Needham Jr., in 1982.

Services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Walkerton, on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m., officiated by Fr. Michael Winkowski, pastor.

Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Tuttle was a member of the church and the 3rd Order of St. Francis, Antioch, Ill.

The arrangements have been handled by the A.M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty.
