Lorene M. Turner, 79, of First Street, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 6:38 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, in St. Joseph Community Hospital. She was born in Hammond, Ind., on Jan. 19, 1919, and lived in this area most of her life. She retired in 1979 from Dodge Reliance as a pricing clerk, having worked there for 20 years. She had formerly worked at the South Bend Tribune for 10 years.

As Lorene Clark, she married Joe Hamilton, who died in 1974. She then married Lawrence C. Turner in Mishawaka in 1979. He also preceded her in death in 1986. Lorene is survived by a daughter, Lorraine J. Smith of Mishawaka; three sons, Lawrence A. Turner of Houston, Texas, Suell D. Turner of Tulsa, Okla., and Michael S. Turner of Dallas, Texas; and by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Ireland Road Church of God.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, with the Reverend J. Mark Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
