Dorothy L. Turley
Jan. 21, 1907 -- June 19, 2003
Dorothy Loyce Turley, 96, of White Oak Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., died Thursday morning, June 19, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Dorothy had taught dance for the Minneapolis, Minn., Park District for many years.
She was born Jan. 21, 1907, in Revillo, S.D., to John and Emma (Andersen) Davis, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Smith, and by a brother, Leslie Davis. On Dec. 26, 1931, in Minneapolis, she married John Patrick Turley, who died Oct. 14, 1978.
She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn J. (Thomas) Fitzgerald of Omaha, Neb.; two sons, Gerald (Grace) Turley of Grand Terrace, Calif., and James (Sharon) Turley of South Bend, Ind.; and by 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, in Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services in Little Flower Church.
Dorothy was a member of Little Flower Parish, the Duplicate Bridge Group, attended the University of Minnesota, and was a member of the Ladies of Notre Dame.
