Sister Mary Dominic CSC, 78, of St. Mary’s convent died this morning in the convent. She was born Jan. 4, 1894 in County Kerry, Ireland and as Catherine Mary Tuomey, entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St Mary’s March 25, 1917, coming from Chicago. She made her profession of vows Aug. 15, 1919. She was assigned to teaching in elementary and secondary schools in Indiana, Illinois and California, including St. Joseph High School in South Bend from 1958 to 1968. She had resided at St. Mary’s Convent since 1969. Surviving is a niece, Sister Mary Brassil CSC of St. Joseph Convent.

Friends may call today and Tuesday in the convent parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of Our Klady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
