South Bend Tribune, Funeral Notes; August 09, 1954.
Stephen M. Tschida, 919 W. Monroe St., died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday
in St. Joseph Hospital where he had been ill since Thursday. He
was born in Austria Nov. 20, 1886, and came here as an infant.
His wife, Katherine, died here in 1949. He was employed by the
Studebaker Corp. 30 years. Surviving are a son, Lawrence; two
daughters, Mrs. Carl Weinzetl and Mrs. Richard Langel, all of
South Bend; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Balthasar
Bleich, Mrs. Juliana Griman and Mrs. Lousi Kurz, all of South
Bend, and two brothers, Andrew and John Tschida, both of South
Bend. Friends may call in the Nemeth Funeral Home after 7 p.m.
today.

TSCHIDA - Funeral services for Stephen M. Tschida, 919 W. Monroe
St., who died at 6:20 a.m. Monday, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in
St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. John J. Margraf, C.S.C.,
pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Mr.
Tschida belonged to the Singing Stephen Society, which will
recite the rosary for him in the Nemeth Funeral Home at 8:15 p.m.
today.
The Daughters of Isabella will say the rosary at 7:30 p.m. today
in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be George Bleich, Carl
Grimm, William and Edward Tschida, Lewis Kurz and Frank
Neispodziany. Friends may call in the funeral home.
