Michael John Tschida

Michael John Tschida, 75, of 1845 John St. S., died Tuesday in Salem Hospital Memorial Unit.  Born in South Bend, Ind., he lived in Salem since 1946.  He was a custodian for Bell Telephone for 20 years and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Survivors include his wife, Julia Ann; sons, David, Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, and Daniel, Salem; daughter Dolores Bacon, Lake Tahoe, Nev.; brother, Robert Tschida, Gypsyland, Michigan; sister, Helen Nemeth, Jackson Michigan.; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.  Rosary will be at 7 tonight at Rigdon-Ransom mortuary, mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with interment in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
